PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device in which extinction of light made incident on light detecting elements from a light inputting part is suppressed and reduction of a light quantity of light made incident on the light detecting elements can be consequently prevented even if light intensity of the light inputting part is not increased. SOLUTION: The display device 1 includes: a first substrate 2 having the plurality of light detecting elements 11 and a plurality of pixel transistors 12A; a second substrate 19 which includes a color filter 18 having high transmission regions (e.g. each coloring layer 18b of red color) having higher transmittance of light (e.g. light of red color) emitted by the light inputting part N emitting light as compared with the other regions and which is provided apart from the first substrate 2; and a display layer 20 provided between the first and the second substrates 2 and 19, wherein the plurality of light detecting elements 11 are respectively provided in the positions opposed to the high transmission regions.
