PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make thin a casing wherein a liquid crystal display, an organic EL or the like are arranged, and to provide a display device whose display unit can be surely and easily assembled in the casing. SOLUTION: The display device is so constituted that: the display unit is arranged in an opening formed in the casing 31; and the display face 33 of the display unit 40 can be visually recognized from the outside. A plurality of ribs protruding inward are provided on a part of the inner wall of the opening and, on the side of the display unit 40, a recess engaging with the rib and a protrusion 51 inserted into a space 54 formed between the plurality of ribs are provided.
