PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for inspecting quality defect of a linear control valve, by perceiving a behavior of pressure change in an initial period of a fluid passing through the linear control valve. SOLUTION: In this method of inspecting quality defect of the linear control valve, the linear control valve of an inspection object is installed in a fluid circuit, a drive current of the linear control valve is sweep-controlled, an opening degree of a valve element is changed in the linear control valve, a pressure change of the fluid is measured in an inlet side or an outlet side of the linear control valve when the drive current is sweep-controlled, a variation of fluid pressure is found in a period (time T1-T2) at the time when the drive current is sweep-controlled, and the quality defect of the linear control valve is detected based on a level of the variation.
