<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform equalization on desired frequency characteristics with high accuracy, while the number of bands is small. <P>SOLUTION: Difference between the frequency characteristics of a voice signal and the desired frequency characteristics is calculated. A PEQ center frequency characteristic is set at a peak position in the differential frequency characteristics, and a PEQ gain is set so that the difference at the peak position becomes zero. The value of Q (quality factor) is initially set, with reference to a frequency which is 1/ √2 of the difference peak. Area value (added value of each data of FFT) is calculated in predetermined frequency-waiting difference. The value of Q is changed, and when the area value becomes smaller, it is determined that the desired characteristic is approximated; and when the area value becomes larger, the value of Q immediately prior to changing is adopted. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
