<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem caused by integration of a clutch inner 34 with an armature shaft 14, in a starter 1 having a reverse rotation preventing clutch 7 which can prevent reverse rotation of the armature shaft 14. <P>SOLUTION: The starter 1 has the reverse rotation prevention clutch 7 preventing the armature shaft 14 of the motor 2 from rotating reversely to the rotation in engine drive. The clutch 7 has the clutch inner 34 disposed on the armature shaft 14, and the clutch inner 34 is in a shape of a ring provided separately from the armature shaft 14 and is fitted in and fixed to an outer periphery of the armature shaft 14. Since the material of the clutch inner 34 and the armature shaft 14 can be separately set, for example, only the material of the clutch inner 34 can be changed to high-strength material, and material easy to be forged can be selected for the material of the armature shaft 14. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
