<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording device, a recording method, a recording system, a distribution device, and a distribution method capable of performing fast complement processing data for recording including an error, even if the error occurs in the data. <P>SOLUTION: If a TS error detector 32 detects an error, a control unit 39 acquires a TS packet, where the error is detected, from a recording server 2, and replaces a TS packet including the error with the acquired TS packet. Then, the control unit 39 directs a TS-PS converter 33 to transform a plurality of TS packets constituting an MPEG2-TS into an MPEG2-PS composed of a plurality of PS packets. In addition, the control unit 39 directs a PS error detector 34 to detect an error at each PS packet.
