<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the total reflection of light in a border plane where the refraction indexes are different. <P>SOLUTION: In a semiconductor device 100, a light-emitting element 102 is mounted in a substrate 101. In the light emitting element 102, a light reflection prevention film 130 for preventing the reflection of light is formed in its upper surface. Hence, when light emitted from inside of the light-emitting element 102 to outside passes the upper surface (the border plane of the refraction index) of the light-emitting element 102 and advances, the occurrence of the total reflection according to the difference of the refraction indexes is prevented. Moreover, on the light-emitting element 102, a tabular cover 103 composed of an optically transparent glass is installed, and on the upper surface of the cover 103 also a light reflection prevention film 140 is formed. Hence, in the process that the light from the light-emitting element transmits through the cover 103 and advances from the cover 103 made of glass of large refraction index to air of small refraction index, the total reflection is prevented. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
