<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a development processing liquid for a lithographic printing plate which is capable of development in a region from acidity to neutrality, overcomes the problems of developability in the development and dispersion stability of a photosensitive layer removed by the development, reduces the replenishment amount of a developing solution and the amount of waste liquid, is also advantageous to running cost and to the environment, and excels in contamination resistance. <P>SOLUTION: A lithographic printing original plate, having an image recording layer on a support, is imagewise exposed to cure exposed portions of the image recording layer, and development is performed with an aqueous solution of pH 2-10, containing at least one of a compound represented by Formula (I): C<SB>l</SB>H<SB>2l+1</SB>-X and a compound represented by Formula (II): C<SB>n-m</SB>H<SB>2(n-m)+1</SB>OC<SB>m</SB>H<SB>2m</SB>-X, wherein l≥8; n≥8; n≥m≥0; and X represents a sulfonate, a sulfuric acid monoester salt, a carboxylate or a phosphate. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
