<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display panel with high contrast and high display quality, by suppressing light leakage from a contact hole in a reflecting section and from a protrusion. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display panel 10 has a first substrate having TFTs and pixel electrodes 19, mounted on respective pixels arranged into a matrix form, with an interlayer insulating film 17 disposed in between and also the reflecting sections 15 mounted thereon, wherein the pixel electrode 19 and an electrode D of the TFT are electrically connected via the contact hole 20 formed on the reflecting section 15; a second substrate, having at least one protrusion 31<SB>1</SB>-31<SB>3</SB>formed on a common electrode and on a position corresponding to each of the pixel; vertical alignment layers respectively laminated on both substrates; and a liquid crystal 29 with negative dielectric anisotropy disposed between both substrates. A light-shielding film 36<SB>3</SB>, which covers a base portion of the protrusion 31<SB>3</SB>mounted on a position opposite to the contact hole 20 of the second substrate, is formed on a position corresponding to the base portion as viewed from above. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
