PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate operability of an electrical appliance operated by an infrared remote controller with the view to a problem of directivity of infrared lights in the infrared remote controller of the electrical appliance. SOLUTION: An infrared light emitting apparatus includes: an infrared LED 41 of a light emitting section 4 emitting infrared lights that can be received by an appliance operated by an infrared signal from a remote control device; a light emission control means 5 for controlling the emission of the infrared LED 41 in a predetermined waveform pattern; and a reflection mirror section 2 which diffuses and reflects infrared lights emitted by the infrared light LED 41. By installing the infrared light emitting apparatus 1 on the ceiling of a room, infrared signals can be diffused and transmitted over all the room. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
