PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging unit and image sensor which prevents the occurrence of white non-gradation pixel or color reproducibility defect by complementing a sensitivity difference between a white pixel and a color pixel and can perform photographing that is not inferior in image quality, either. SOLUTION: An imaging unit and image sensor can be provided in which exposure times of a white pixel in which a luminance filter is disposed and of a color pixel in which a color filter is disposed, are individually controlled, so that an exposure time of a color pixel with a low sensitivity can be prolonged, the occurrence of white no-gradation pixel or color reproducibility defect is prevented by complementing a sensitivity difference between the white pixel and the color unit and photographing that is not inferior in image quality, either, can be performed.
