PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the frequency of false detection of an unstable operating state of aΣΔA/D converter. SOLUTION: A quantizer 14 in the A/D converter 10 executingΣΔsystem A/D conversion quantizes the result of integral of input signals applied to the A/D converter 10 to output binary digital data. An unstable operating state detection section 20 performs detection in the case the quantizer 14 consecutively outputs one value of the binary digital data for a first prescribed number or over and consecutively outputs the other value of the binary digital data for a second prescribed number or over in succession to the consecutive output of the one value. When the unstable operating state detection section 20 performs the detection of the case above, the unstable operating state detection section 20 generates reset signals to integrators 11-1 to 11-n and outputs the reset signals.
