PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance light extraction efficiency and reduce visual field angle dependency. SOLUTION: The organic electroluminescent element, provided with a light extraction-side electrode 2, a reflecting electrode 8, and organic laminated films 3 to 7 containing light-emitting layers 5a, 5b arranged between the light extraction-side electrode 2 and the reflecting electrode 8, has ruggednesses formed with a surface roughness Ra equivalent to 4 nm or more on an interface between the light extraction-side electrode 2 and the organic laminated films 3 to 7.
