PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a braking unit for a railway rolling stock simple in constitution, easy to miniaturize and inexpensive. SOLUTION: A shoe head 63 is mounted on the other end side by supporting one end side of a hanger 64 on a unit main body 62 through a fulcrum pin 66. A push rod 8 of a brake cylinder 101 is connected to the hanger 64, and a cylinder main body 3 is fixed on the unit main body 62. A connecting point (fulcrum pin 72) of the push rod 8 against the hanger 64 is positioned between the fulcrum pin 66 and a mounting point (pin 67) of the shoe head 63 against the hanger 64. A guide member 22 is furnished free to move with the push rod 8. An irregular surface 12 arranging irregularities in the moving direction of the push rod 8 is furnished on an outer surface of the push rod 8. A space 27 to open the side of the irregular surface 12 is formed on the guide member 22, and an O ring 28 is arranged in this space 27. The guide member 22 and the push rod 8 are connected to each other as this O ring 28 is deformed and engaged with the irregular surface 12. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
