PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of producing a beautiful ornament through the use of gold leaf with the entire surface including an uneven pattern in golden color to form a golden ornament suitable as a framed ornament in a room and the like. SOLUTION: The surface of a sheet-like base material such as Japanese paper, silk fabric, etc. is covered by a screen in which only a pattern portion is meshed, and a pasty material is loaded onto the screen to form a protruded pattern portion by the protruded pasty material. After a ground layer is formed by applying a liquid adhesive containing glue onto the entire surface including the pattern portion, each gold leaf is sequentially layered and pasted onto the ground layer to obtain an ornament having a wholly golden uneven pattern.
