PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric potential treatment device that produces appropriate treatment effects in patients whether they put down or extend their feet, and stores the foot rest under the chair. SOLUTION: The chair 2 and the foot rest 4 are connected together with a first actuator 5, and the foot rest 4 changes its position following the movements of the rod 5b of the first actuator 5. In the state that a second plate 42 of the foot rest 4 is vertically located under a seat 21, and a first plate 41 of the foot rest 4 overlaps the second plate 42, the foot rest 4 can be stored in its storage below the seat 21. In the state that the first plate 41 is horizontally open, a patient C has his toes positioned on the first plate 41 when he puts down his feet. In the state that the first and second plates 41 and 42 are located ahead of the seat 21 and are on nearly the same level with it, the patient C has his toes positioned on the first plate 41 when he extends his feet.
