PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lift device for bathing which enables the setting of the movement of a chair part beyond a wall part on any of both left and right sides of the body of a bathtub by fixing the center of the oscillation of an oscillation arm on any of both left and right sides centered on a post depending on the selection of the left or right in the direction of a support arm and enables a bathing person to come to take a bath from outside the wall part on any of both left and right sides of the body of the bathtub depending on the selection of the left or right in the direction of the support arm. SOLUTION: In the lift device for bathing, a post unit is installed near outside a side wall part of the body of the bathtub and has the support arm at the upper part of the post. The oscillation arm is disposed successively at the end of the support arm so as to let it oscillate. The chair part is suspended at the end of the oscillation arm and the oscillation arm is turned relative to the support arm to move the chair part inside or outside the body of the bathtub. The post is disposed in the course of the wall part of the body of the bathtub and the support arm is set to be turnable relative to the post while its turning can be locked on both left and right sides at least centered on the post.
