PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dental grindstone with a shaft, which can retain a nearly fixed sharpness throughout the use. SOLUTION: The dental grindstone 10 with a shaft is made by mixing a binder and abrasive grains and molding a grindstone 12 and fixing the grindstone 12 to the tip of the shaft 11, the sharpness of the dental grindstone 10 when it is put to use for the first time is made nearly equal to steady sharpness obtained when an object to be ground as planned in designing is sufficiently ground by shaving the surface of the grindstone 12 by a rotary grindstone 110 of appropriate abrasive grains.
