Parallel to a motor shaft (MS) and a driven shaft (DS), an intermediate shaft (IS) (2) is driven via a first belt (5) on the MS and coupled to a driven shaft via a second belt (6) while driving on its part. The IS moves in a radial plane in relation to the MS and the DS via an external device for moving the shafts by applying adjusting force in a defined force direction. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) A device for moving a shaft in a radial plane in relation to a motor shaft and/or in relation to a driven shaft for a steering accessory drive; (2) A method for fitting a steering accessory drive.
