The sealing measurement device has a drive (A) and at least one sensor (S) that is movable by the drive against the foil (Fo) for measurement purposes. The sensor has at least one piezo element for measurement of the pressure force of the sensor on the foil. An independent claim is also included for a method of measuring the sealing of packaging.
