The method involves executing a production process which represents two non identical and non linear dependant process variables. The variables are provided by individual adjustment in the production process and are measured in the production process, to generate a horizon (34), with scale arms (14-16). The scale arms represent the dimensions of a product. The horizon is lifted optically against inner and outer peripheries of arms. An independent claim is also included for a method for process data allocation for influencing an operating process.
