<p>A medical laser apparatus having a capacitance sensor and a laser emission controller is provided to improve the safety level of the medical laser apparatus by irradiating the laser beam only when a skin is contacted with a hand piece. A medical laser apparatus includes a main body, a beam transfer unit, and a hand piece, which is connected to the beam transfer unit. A proximity sensor(120) outputs a sensor signal, when a subject is within a predetermined distance based on a measured capacitance. An emission controller(140) outputs an emission control signal to a laser generator based on the sensor signal received from the proximity sensor. The proximity sensor includes a sensor conductor and a capacitive sensor, which measures a capacitance between the subject and the sensor conductor.</p> |
