A display device is provided to prevent malfunction in a space where person feels darkness although the brightness can be sensed by an optical sensor, by disposing a spectrum sensitivity adjusting unit in a position opposite to each optical sensor of a color filter substrate. A display panel includes an active matrix substrate and a color filter substrate. A control unit controls a light emitting intensity of an irradiating unit of the display panel based on an output of light sensors(321~326). A spectrum sensitivity adjusting unit is disposed in a position opposite to each optical sensor of the color filter substrate. The spectrum sensitivity adjusting unit is a color filter layer or a polarizing filter layer.
