COATING COMPOSITION FOR FORMING ELECTROPHOTOGRAPHIC PHOTOCONDUCTOR OF SINGLE LAYER

A coating composition for forming an electrophotographic photoconductor of a single layer structure comprising a mixture of cis- and trans-diphenoquinone compounds as an electron receiving material in a charge transferring layer is provided to improve solubility and resin-compatibility. A coating composition comprises a charge generating material, a charge transferring material, an electron receiving material, a binder resin, an organic solvent and an additive. The electron receiving material contains a mixture of a cis-diphenoquinone compound and a trans-diphenoquinone compound. The cis-diphenoquinone compound and the trans-diphenoquinone compound are mixed in a ratio of 1:1 to 1:5. The rate of the diphenoquinone compound and the electron transferring material is 1:1 to 1:10. The coating composition is applied on a conductive support(110) to form a photoconductive layer(112).
