PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inorganic micro-particle affording a transparent polymer composition having excellent optical characteristics, especially excellent transparency and a high refractive index and wavelength dispersibility and having excellent dispersibility by dispersing together with a transparent polymer, to provide the transparent polymer composition comprising the inorganic micro-particle and to provide an optical member using the same. SOLUTION: The transparent polymer composition comprises at least a surface-modified inorganic micro-particle (B) and the transparent polymer (C). The surface-modified inorganic micro-particle has the surface modified with a modifying molecule (A1) having <1,000 molecular weight and a modifying polymer (A2) having≥1,000 weight-average molecular weight and affords a transparent colloid when dispersed in an organic solvent.
