PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a broadcasting signal receiver and a recording and reproducing method of broadcasting signals for making it possible to view a broadcasting program from the beginning, when channel is switched over. SOLUTION: While recording two or more pieces of broadcasting data generated by an encoder 7, from the received broadcasting signals of a plurality of channels in a buffer memory 11 for each channel, whether the receiving channel is switched is monitored by a channel changeover detection part 9. When the changeover of the receiving channel is detected, the broadcasting data recorded in the buffer memory 11 regarding the channel of a switching destination are reproduced from the start point of the broadcasting program that is broadcasted on the channel of the switching destination.
