PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable information terminal device capable of reducing the time required for channel search. SOLUTION: Channel numbers of television broadcast waves, extracted with an analog tuner 8 and a digital tuner 9, are stored respectively in an analog channel number storage 21 and a digital channel number storage 22. When the channel numbers of the digital television broadcast waves receivable with the digital tuner 9 is searched, the already extracted channel numbers of the analog television broadcast waves are excluded from channel search targets. When the channel numbers of the analog television broadcast waves receivable with the analog tuner 8 is searched, the already extracted channel numbers of the digital television broadcast waves are excluded from the channel search targets.
