PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper sheet accumulation device for accumulating media such as bills, capable of accumulating the media with a flattened medium surface and without insertion of the media into a clearance of unevenly accumulated media. SOLUTION: A width alignment impeller partially provided with a blade part is provided in the vicinity of an accumulation guide for accumulating the media, and the impeller is rotated for every predetermined number of media, whereby the media are accumulated while pulling the media ends toward the accumulation guide. Otherwise, a spiral blade part may be provided in the width alignment impeller in such a manner that the blade part is extended by rotating the impeller. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
