PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas sensor making its leakage current small and having the characteristics that are more stable, and to provide a manufacturing method therefor. SOLUTION: The gas sensor 1 comprises a porous dielectric layer 11 having a large number of holes partitioned by hole walls; and a first electrode 13 and a second electrode 10, arranged so as to sandwich the porous dielectric layer 11.
