PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a key telephone system provided with a voice mail unit whose convenience is improved. SOLUTION: The key telephone system provided with the voice mail unit including a plurality of mail boxes and capable of receiving caller information representing a telephone number of a caller notified at the arrival of a call from a public telephone network, automatically distributes a message to a designated mail box by each received caller information on the basis of telephone number settings registered in advance in recording messages to the voice mail unit.
