PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent excessive vibration and noise and generation of a large amount of nitrogen oxides when an internal combustion engine is started. SOLUTION: With respect to respective combustion cycles until air-fuel mixture formed in a combustion chamber is first burned, the control device injects an amount of fuel smaller than a fuel amountτS required at a starting time, which is the amount of the fuel required in order to output torque required at the starting time of the internal combustion engine from the internal combustion engine. Thus, an inner cylinder fuel amount is larger than a fuel amountτi required at a first time combustion, which is the fuel amount required in order to burn the air-fuel mixture gas not including combustion gas, and the excessive amount exceeding the fuel amountτi of the amount of the fuel to be served for combustion when the air-fuel mixture is first burned, is suitably reduced. As a result, an air-fuel ratio of the burned air-fuel mixture is prevented from being in the excessively rich air-fuel ratio in the first combustion of the air-fuel mixture.
