The impact protection arrangement (1) has an impact element (2) that can be moved by a drive device towards the vehicle occupant from a passive position into an active position. The impact element is formed by a cover (impact cover) on the glove compartment (3) on the front passenger side. The drive device is designed tot move the element bi-directionally and/or in one dimension.
