BOMBYX MORI DENSOVIRUS TYPE 2-SENSITIVE GENE AND RESISTANT GENE AND UTILIZATION THEREOF

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide Bombyx mori Densovirus type 2-sensitive gene and nsd-2 (a resistant gene), to provide transgenic Bombyx mori utilizing the gene, to provide an imparting agent for sensitivity to Bombyx mori Densovirus type 2 virus or an inhibitor of the Bombyx mori Densovirus type 2 virus infection, to provide a method for judging the sensitivity to the Bombyx mori Densovirus type 2 virus and to provide a reagent for judgment.

SOLUTION: A linkage analysis of a population selected with a chromosome walking and virus by forming BAC contig utilizing Bombyx mori genome information is carried out to find out deletion specific for resistant lineage and identify the gene. The deletion in the resistant species is reflected even in a transcript. Thereby, it is made clear that a product shorter than sensitive lineage by about 1 kb is transcribed.
