PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power system of an air conditioner capable of suppressing a synthetic harmonic current generated by one or more indoor machines sharing an outdoor machine and an A.C. power source. SOLUTION: A harmonic suppression circuit 5 is arranged in an outdoor machine power supply device 2, and an input current of the outdoor machine power supply device 2 is generated as follows. A microcomputer of the outdoor machine receives operation statuses (the numbers of revolutions of fan motors) of the indoor machines by communication with the one or more indoor machines, and calculates the total value of the input currents (harmonic synthetic current) from all the indoor machines. Next, the microcomputer sets a targeted D.C. directive voltage, converts it to a sine-wave current synchronizing with commercial A.C. power, thereafter creates a current directive of a reactor by subtracting the harmonic synthetic current from the indoor machines, converts the reactor current to a reactor voltage, and carries out PWM control by using a switching element 7 to output V<SB>2</SB>obtained by subtracting it from a rectifier output voltage V<SB>1</SB>as an outdoor machine voltage.
