PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic radial tire, in particular, a high-performance all-season radial tire for automobile capable of demonstrating not only the performance on a dry road surface but also the performance even on a snowy road surface as close as possible to the on-snow performance of a known tire exclusive for snowy road. SOLUTION: The pneumatic tire has a plurality of land rows 11a-11e demarcated by a plurality of circumferential grooves 1a-1d extending along the tire circumferential direction and a plurality of lug grooves 2a-2e across the circumferential grooves 1a-1d on a tread part. A plurality of slots 3a, 3b intermittent in the tire circumferential direction are arranged in a pair of land rows 11a, 11e located outside the tire axial direction out of the plurality of land rows 11a-11e.
