PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for preparing an organically modified siloxane by which a terminal unsaturated organic ester can simply be prepared and the resultant terminal unsaturated organic ester can subsequently be bound to a siloxane by hydrosilylation without any problems and without substantially a post-treating step. SOLUTION: The method is to hydrosilylate the siloxane with the terminal unsaturated ester and thereby prepare the siloxane modified with the organic ester. A lipase, an esterase or a protease from the hydrolase group, preferably the lipase, more preferably lipase B derived from Candida antarctica is used as a catalyst to prepare the terminal unsaturated ester.
