PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cartridge case capable of preventing at least one of damaging of a reference hole edge and occurrence of a loading error without incurring any thermal deformation or any increase in manufacturing costs. SOLUTION: The cartridge case includes lower and upper cases 13 and 12 that are fitted together to form a cartridge body capable of housing a tape reel 3 having an information recording carrier (magnetic tape) wound thereon.
