摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sufficiently demonstrate the cooling effect of a fuel injection valve by a simple structure at low cost. SOLUTION: This cooling device comprises a valve holder cooling passage 44 having the fuel injection valve 32 fitted to the cylinder head 30 of a gas engine through a valve holder 34 and jetting a pilot fuel from a nozzle hole and a cooling water circulation passage having an engine cooling passage allowing a cooling water to pass into the cylinder head and forcibly flowing the cooling water in one way through the periphery of the fuel injection valve, installed in the end of the valve holder, and having one end communicating with the engine cooling passage on the upstream side more than the fuel injection valve, connection passages 42, 53, 54, 56, 58 connecting the low pressure part of the cooling water circulation passage in which the cooling water with the pressure lower than the pressure of the cooling water in the engine cooling passage on the upstream side more than the fuel injection valve flow to the other end of the valve holder cooling passage, and a thermal shielding cap 62 installed at the end of the valve holder and covering the end of the nozzle of the fuel injection valve while allowing the injection of a liquid fuel from the nozzle hole.
