PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recorder which can perform frame-less recording at a high speed. SOLUTION: A platen 42 includes a groove 116 which covers the whole of an ink ejection region of a recording head. A movable supporting part 104 with a plurality of movable ribs 121 is set in the groove 116. The movable supporting part 104 is moved to slide in a conveyance direction when a motor for ribs 93 is controlled to drive by a timing according to a conveyance position of a tip of a recording paper 146. For example, when the tip of the recording paper 146 is located in an end printing range, the sliding movement of the movable supporting part 104 is carried out by the timing later than that of the conveyance of the recording paper 146. If the rear end of the recording paper 146 is located in the end printing range, the sliding movement of the movable supporting part 104 is carried out by the timing earlier than that of the conveyance of the recording paper 146.
