PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable optimization of a strike position in various images and to output high-quality prints at all times in an inkjet printer which records the image by ejecting ink in a two-way movement process at a forward path and a return path. SOLUTION: The inkjet printer includes a recording mode setting means which sets one recording mode from a plurality of recording modes, an image recording means which records the image in the set recording mode, a chart recording means which records a predetermined chart for strike position adjustment by recording dots to a recording medium, and a strike position adjusting means which adjusts the strike position of the ink of at least one of the forward path and return path of a recording head on the basis of an adjustment value of the strike position determined by a user by using the recorded chart for strike position adjustment. The chart recording means can record the chart for strike position adjustment which has a plurality of kinds of image patterns different from each other in number of nozzles that eject the ink by the same timing among a plurality of nozzles.
