PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which forms a thin film of uniform nature on a developing member or an image carrier, and reduces the oxidation polymerization reaction of a liquid carrier. SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus has the developer composed of a vegetable oil including an unsaturated fatty acid as the liquid carrier, a developer container 31 storing the developer, the developing member 21 carrying the developer, a developer supplying member 33 supplying the developer from the developer container 31 to the developer member 21, and an image carrier 11 developing the latent image by the developing member 21, in which the image carrier 11 is an amorphous silicon base photoreceptor 11, and a heating means 100 is arranged in any of the points from an exposure write region to a developing region within the photoreceptor 11.
