PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a droplet observation device that has improved operability and can acquire improved images, and to provide a droplet observation method. SOLUTION: In the observation of a drop 15, containing a protein solution existing in a well 8a, provided in a lattice array, on a plate for detecting protein crystal, a unit cell in which the image of the drop 15 that has not been acquired appropriately, due to positional misalignment is selected by a cursor 11a out of unit cells 42 in a list display layout 41, where the reduced image of a drop image obtained by imaging the drop 15 with a high imaging magnification is displayed corresponding to a well array in the plate for displaying a well image 43 on the screen overlappingly. A cross cursor 44 is made to coincide with the center of the drop 15, and proper position is instructed and inputted, thus correcting droplet position information corresponding to the well image.
