PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detector for a magnetic foreign matter in superconductive fluids for detecting magnetized foreign matters mixed into fluid without affecting the fluid being transported. SOLUTION: The detector 1 for a magnetic foreign matter in the superconductive fluids comprises: a superconductive quantum interference element 10 for detecting a magnetic metal 92 inside fluid 91 magnetically; a cooling device for cooling the element 10 to temperature where the element 10 reaches a superconductive state; a magnetic shield 30 for breaking the element 10 from external magnetic noise; a non-magnetic material pipe 40a for continuously transporting the fluid 91 to which the magnetic metal 92 may be mixed; a three-way valve 46 for discharging a prescribed range of the fluid 91 where the mixture of the magnetic metal 92 is detected to other paths; a magnetizing device 50 for passing the fluid 91 being transported by a pipe 40a in a magnetic field in advance for magnetizing the mixed magnetic metal 92; and a control section 70 for controlling the operation of each section and operating the three-way valve 46 according to the detected magnetic state of the magnetic metal 92 in the element 10.
