PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper reversing device capable of being attached to/detached from a main body of a device as an option, preventing increase in the size of the device even if being attached to the main body and requiring no large space for jam processing. SOLUTION: This paper reversing device 100 is provided with a paper carrying-in port 110, a paper carrying-out port 115, a carrying path 120 for carrying paper in one direction and a switchback carrying path 130 for switchbacking of the paper carrying direction. The paper reversing device 100 reverses front and back sides of paper carried in from the carrying-in port 110 and discharges the paper to the carrying-out port 115. A link member is provided between a member constituting the carrying path 120 and a member constituting the switchback carrying path 130. When opening operation is performed to expose one carrying path out of the carrying path 120 and the switchback carrying path 130, opening operation to expose the other carrying path is synchronously performed.
