PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain stopper hitting shock on a stroke end of a suspension. SOLUTION: This suspension device is furnished with a suspension body 10 consisting of a spring device 20 to elastically support weight of a vehicle, an electromagnetic actuator 30 and a damper device 50 and changes a controlling form of the electromagnetic actuator 30 so as to restrain the stopper hitting shock when the spring device 20 approaches the neighborhood of its stroke termination and when the damper device 50 approaches the neighborhood of the stroke termination. For example, it lowers control gain of the electromagnetic actuator 30 and to generate driving force of the electromagnetic actuator 30 in the opposite direction of the approaching direction.
