The pump has an evaporator (10) for the evaporation of Water as operating liquid, in order to produce an operating steam. The evaporator has an evaporation area and is designed to produce an evaporation pressure smaller than 20 hecto-Pascal in the evaporation area, so that the water evaporates at temperatures under 18?0 centigrade. The compressor is implemented as turbo machine, and designed to compress the operating steam at an operating pressure higher than 5 hecto-Pascal, above the evaporation pressure.
