The holder has a knife head (16) held on a lowering device, and a circular knife (14) held on the knife head. A knife carrier (22) and a base part (21) are directly formed as an outer ring and an inner ring of a bearing e.g. roller bearing, respectively, where the bearing is adjusted for positioning the knife carrier on the base part. The bearing is integrated into a structure of the knife head. The knife carrier is fitted on the base part, where the base part is a single piece base part that is connected with an adjusting plunger as a part of an adjusting device.
