<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safety device for a platform door capable of correctly discriminating presence/absence of incoming and outgoing passengers on a passage when a slide door of the platform door is opened while reducing the installation number of sensors. <P>SOLUTION: The safety device 10 of the platform door discriminates presence/absence of incoming and outgoing passengers in a getting-on/getting-off passage 9 between a train traveling passage 3 at the end of the getting-on/getting-off passage and a platform door 2, and has a distance surveying sensor 11 which scans the light over a floor surface of the passage 9 by a flooding mirror, receives the reflected light from a scanning area X, and detects the distance to a reflecting part. The distance surveying sensor 11 detects the measured distance obtained when receiving the reflected light from the scanning area X with the surveyed distance to the reference line Y formed on the floor surface of the passage 9 by the scanning as the reference value, and discriminates presence/absence of any incoming and outgoing passengers based on the difference between the measurement distance detected by the distance surveying sensor 11 and the reference value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
