<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting system wherein lead wires are not easily disconnected, and the lead wires are prevented from being cut off by edges, and a liquid crystal display device using it. <P>SOLUTION: This lighting system is equipped with a reflector 11, a first linear light source 13, a first holder 12A, a second holder 12, a first lead wire 17, and a second lead wire 19. Each end of the first linear light source 13 is supported by the first holder 12A and the second holder 12. The reflector 11 supports the first holder 12A and the second holder 12 so as to cover the first linear light source 13. The respective conductor parts of the first lead wire 17 and the second lead wire 19 are connected to the one side electrode and the other side electrode of the first linear light source 13 respectively. A first hole 50 and a second hole 53 each having a practically rectangular parallelepiped shape are formed at the entrance parts of the first holder 12A and the second holder 12 respectively. The width of the first hole 50 is made larger than the wire diameter of the first lead wire 17, the height of the first hole 50 is made smaller than the wire diameter of the first lead wire 17, the width of the second hole 53 is made larger than the wire diameter of the second lead wire 19, and the height of the second hole 53 is made smaller than the wire diameter of the second lead wire 19. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
