PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wrap spring clutch capable of being used in a driving system of a mobile vehicle as an active element by transmitting controllable torque. SOLUTION: This a wrap spring clutch 19 comprising a first shaft 4, and a wrap spring 3 wound around the first shaft 4 in the winding direction and comprising two wrap spring ends 7, 8, and further comprising a second hollow shaft 1 arranged around the wrap spring 3 to be concentric to the first shaft 4, is characterized by an actuator 2 for applying a controlled tangential force to at least one of the wrap spring ends 7, 8 in a direction opposite to the winding direction of the wrap spring 3.
